STITHIANS, a parish in the hundred of KERRIER,
county of CORNWALL, 4 miles (N. W. by W.) from
Penryn, containing 1688 inhabitants. The living is a
vicarage, with the perpetual curacy of Perran-Arworthal
annexed, in the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese
of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £ 14. 0. 10., and
in the patronage of the Earl of Falmouth. There is a
place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
