CHEWTON, county of SOMERSET, 6 miles (N.) from
Shepton-Mallet, containing 419 inhabitants. The living
is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of Chewton-
Mendip, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese
of Bath and Wells.
