STRATFORD (WATER), a parish in the hundred
and county of BUCKINGHAM, 3 miles (W. by N.) from
Buckingham, containing 167 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and
diocese of Lincoln, rated in the lung's books at £7.0.5.,
and in the patronage of the Duke of Buckingham.
The church, dedicated to St. Giles, is partly Norman,
having an enriched doorway in that style.
