SUTTERTON, a parish in the wapentake of KIRTON,
parts of HOLLAND, county of LINCOLN, 8 miles
(N. "W. by N.) from Holbeach, containing 1014 inhabitants.
The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at
£23. 3. 4., and in the patronage of the Crown. The
church, dedicated to St. Mary, is principally in the later
style of English architecture, with a tower, surmounted
by an elegant crocketed spire.
