SWAFIELD, a parish in the hundred of TUNSTEAD,
county of NORFOLK, l mile (N. by E.) from North
Walsham, containing 131 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and
diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £6,
and in the patronage of the King, as Duke of Lancaster.
The church is dedicated to St. Nicholas.
