SWINHOPE, a parish in the wapentake of BRADLEY-HAVERSTOE,
parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN,
7 miles (S. E. by E.) from Caistor, containing
94 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in
the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the
king's books at £4. 17. »., endowed with £400 private
benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in the
patronage of Mrs. Allington. The church is dedicated
to St. Helen.
