TALLINGTON, a parish in the wapentake of NESS,
parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (W.
by S.) from Market-Deeping, containing 240 inhabitants.
The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's
books at £8. 9. 8., endowed with £400 royal bounty,
and in the patronage of Lord Gwydyr. The church is
dedicated to St. Lawrence.
