TERRINGTON (ST-JOHN'S), a parish in the Marshland division of the hundred of FREEBRIDGE, county of NORFOLK, 6 miles (W.,S. W.) from Lynn- Regis, containing 5.83 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, united to, that of Terrington St. Clement's, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich; the rectory is with that of St. Clement's, annexed to the Margaret Professorship in the University of Cambridge. The church is a regularpile of building, having, at its SRuth-west angle, a square tower crowned with pinnacles.
