THORESWAY, a parish in the southern division
of the wapentake of WALSHCROFT, parts of LINDSEY,
county of LINCOLN, 5 miles (S. E.) from Caistor, containing
116 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated
in the king's books at £8. 10. 10., and in the patronage
of the Crown. The church is dedicated to St.
Mary.
