THORPE-on-the-HILL, a parish in the Iowadivision
of the wapentake of BOOTHBY-GRAPFO, parts
of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 6 miles (S. W)
from Lincoln, containing 235 inhabitants. The living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoin,
rated in the king's books at £9. 10., and in the
patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln. The
church is dedicated to All Saints. There is a place of
worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
