THRUSSINGTON, a parish in the eastern division of the hundred of GOSCOTE, county of LEICESTER, 8 miles (N. N. E.) from Leicester, containing 466 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Leicester, and diocese of Lincoln, rated ia the king's books at £6, endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of - Heycock, Esq. The church is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. Thomas Hayne, in 1640, bequeathed an annuity of about £7 for teaching poor children.
