TORTINGTON, a parish in the hundred of AVISFORD, rape of ARUNDEL, county of SUSSEX, 2 miles (S. W.) from Arundel, containing 88 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage not in charge, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Chichester. Francis Lovell, Esq. was patron in 1817. The church is principally in the early style of English architecture.
