TUDDENHAM, a parish in the hundred of LACKFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 3 miles (S. E. by S.) from Mildenhall, containing 316 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £ 10. 17. 6., arid in the patronage of the Marquis of Bristol: The church is dedicated to St. Mary. John Cockerton, in 1723, founded and endowed a free school for twenty children.
