TYTHERINGTON, a parish in the hundred of
HEYTESBURY, county of WILTS, 4 miles (S. E. by E.)
from Warminster, containing 147 inhabitants. The
living is a perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction
and patronage of. the Dean of Salisbury, as Dean of
Heytesbury. The church is dedicated to St. James.
