UNDERBARROW, a chapelry in that part of the parish of KENDAL which is in KENDAL ward, county of WESTMORLAND, 3 miles (W.) from Kendal, containing, With the hamlet of Bradley-field, 504 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Richmond, and diocese of Chester, endowed with £400 private benefaction, and £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Landowners, fey whom the chapel was rebuilt, in 1708.
