WALSOKEN, a parish in the Marshland division of the hundred of FREEBRIDGE, county of NORFOLK, containing 1240 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £30. 13. 4., and in the patronage of Mrs. Allington. The church, dedicated to All Saints, is a handsome structure with a lofty spire. The village is pleasantly situated adjoining the town of Wisbeach, and extending a mile from it; and the pleasant walks. in its vicinity are much frequented by the inhabitants of that town.
