WARHAM, a village in the northern division of the hundred of GREENHOE, county of NORFOLK, 2 miles (S. E. by E.) from Wells, containing 400 inhabitants; it comprises the parishes of All Saints, a discharged rectory, rated in the king's books at £16, and in the patronage of the Crown; St. Mary, and St.-Mary. Magdalene, united rectories, rated jointly at £11. 6. 8., and in the patronage of Thomas W. Coke, Esq.; all in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich. There are small remains of an old baronial mansion, surrounded by a moat, and of some ancient fortifications.
