WARMINGTON, a parish, comprising the hamlet of Warmington in the hundred of WILLYBROOK, but chiefly in that of POLEBROOK, county of NORTHAMPTON, 3 miles (N. E.) from Oundle, containing 519 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £ 13. 6. 8., and in the patronage of the Earl of Westmorland. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, is a beautiful structure, principally in the early English style, with an enriched' tower and spire. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The water of Caldwell Spring, in the neighbourhood, possesses some mineral properties. Two small bequests, by Mr. Blowfield and Mr. Elmes, are applied in support of a school.
