WASHBOURN (GREAT), a parish in the upper division of the hundred of TEWKESBURY, county of GLOUCESTER, 5 miles (N. N. W.) from Winchcombe, containing 80 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester, endowed with £800 royal bounty. Henry Fowke, Esq. was patron in 1810. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
