WASHBROOK, a parish in the hundred of SAMFORD, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (W. by S.) from Ipswich, containing 377 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, annexed to the rectory of Copdock, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £8. 6. 8. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, contains several ancient stalls, which have been recently renovated; and over the communion-table a window of stained glass has been placed, at the expense of Lord Walsingham.
