WESTHALL, a parish in the hundred of BLYTHING, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (N. E.) from Halesworth, containing 440 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10. 2. 3., and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Norwich. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. Two small rent-charges, amounting together to £2. 18., given by Anne Clarke, in 1717, and the Rev. William Gregory Clarke, in 1726, are applied for teaching poor children.
