upper division of the hundred of HALFSHIRE, county
of WORCESTER, 2 miles (W. N. W.) from Droitwich.
A priory, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, for six nuns
of the order of Fontevrault, was founded here in the
reign of Henry II., and at the dissolution had a revenue
of £75. 18. 11.
