WHAPLODE-DROVE, a chapelry in the parish of
WHAPLODE, wapentake of ELLOE, parts of KESTEVEN,
county of LINCOLN, 5 miles (E. N. B.) from Crowland,
containing 540 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual
curacy, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
and in the patronage of certain Trustees. The chapel
is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
