WHEATHILL, a parish in the hundred of STOTTESDEN,
county of SALOP, 9 miles (N. E. by E.) from
Ludlow, containing 141 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, in the archdeaconry of Salop, and diocese of
Hereford, rated in the king's books at £7- 5. 7., and
in the patronage of T. Holland, Esq. The church is
dedicated to the Holy Trinity. A weekly market and
an annual fair were granted to this place by Edward I./
both which have been long disused.
