WHISSONSETT, a parish in the hundred of
LAUNDITCH, county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (S.) from
Fakenham, containing 522 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese
of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £10.3.4.,
and in the patronage of F. R. Reynolds, Esq. The
church is dedicated to St. Mary: in the chancel are
gravestones, of grey marble, with effigies of some members
of the ancient family of Bozoun.
