WHITBY, a township partly in the parish of EASTHAM,
and partly in that of STOKE, higher division of
the hundred of WIRRALL, county palatine of CHESTER,
6 miles (N.) from Chester, containing 250 inhabitants.
The Ellesmere, or Wirrall, canal passes through the
parish.
