WICK (ST-LAWRENCE), a parish in the hundred
of WINTERSTOKE, county of SOMERSET, 8 miles (N.
N. W.) from Axbridge, containing 267 inhabitants. The
living is a perpetual, curacy, annexed to the vicarage
of Congresbury, in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese
of Bath and Wells. The church was formerly a
ehapel of ease to Congresbury.
