WICKHAMPTON, a parish in the hundred of WALSHAM, county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (S, S. E.) from Acle, containing 112 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £4. The Rev. John Love was patron in 1803. The church is de dicated to St. Andrew; the arms of the ancient family of Gerbrigges are exhibited in various parts of the building, though much defaced by time. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
