WICKLEWOOD, a parish in the hundred of FOREHOE, county of NORFOLK, 3 miles (W. N. W.) from Wymondham, containing 672 inhabitants. The living comprises the rectory of St. Andrew, consolidated with the discharged vicarage of All Saints, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the lung's books at £6. 3. 11., and in the patronage of Mrs. Kett and R. Heber, Esq. The church of St. Andrew has been long demolished; it stood in the same churchyard with that of All Saints, which is a spacious structure, with a large handsome tower, in the later style of English architecture. A market and two fairs granted in 1440 by Henry VI., were formerly held here.
