WIDFORD, a parish in the lower division of the hundred of SLAUGHTER, county of GLOUCESTER, 1 mile (E. S.B.) from Burford, containing 51 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Gloucester, rated in the king's books at £3. 14. 2., and endowed with £400 royal bounty. T. H. H. Gwynne, Esq. was patron in 1812. The church is dedicated to St. Oswald.
