WIGTOFT, a parish in the wapentake of KIRTON, parts of HOLLAND, county of LINCOLN, 3 miles (S.B. by S.) from Swineshead, containing 637 inhabitants. The living, is a discharged vicarage, with that of Q,uadring united, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln rated in the Icing's books at £11. 5., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul. A free school here is endowed with certain land, and bears the name of Cowley's and Blisbury's charity.
