WILLINGDON, a parish in the hundred of WILLINGDON, rape of PEVENSEY, county of SUSSEX, 2 miles (N by W.) from East Bourne, containing 520 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, annexed to that of Arlington, in the archdeaconry of Lewes, and diocese of Chichester, rated in the king's books at £12, and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter of Chichester. The church is principally in the early style of English architecture.
