WINKFIELD, a parish in the hundred of BRADFORD,
county of WILTS, 2 miles (W. S. W.) from Trowbridge,
containing, with Rowley, 354 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of
Salisbury, rated in the king's books at £5. 16. 5.' The
Rev. E. Spencer was patron in ] 817. The church is
dedicated to St. Andrew.
