WYDDIALL, a parish in the hundred of EDWINSTREE, county of HERTFORD, 1 mile (N. E.) from Buntingford, containing 225 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Middlesex, and diocese of London, rated in the king's books at £16, and in the patronage of John Heaton, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Giles, has an embattled tower at the west end, and contains several monuments: on the north side of the chancel is a chapel, in which are some remains of fine stained glass, representing the Crucifixion.
