YELFORD, a parish in the hundred of BAMPTON,
county of OXFORD, 3 miles (S.) from Witney, containing
16 inhabitants. The living is a discharged rectory,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Oxford, rated in
the king's books at £4. 3. 6., and endowed with £200
royal bounty. W. J. Lenthall, Esq. was patron in 1815.
The church is dedicated to St. Nicholas.
