BALLINAGAR, a village, in the parish and barony
of GEASHILL, KING'S county, and province of LEINSTER,
2½ miles (S. W.) from Philipstown, on the road
from Edenderry to Tullamore; containing 32 houses
and 153 inhabitants. A large and handsome, R. C.
chapel for the union or district of Ballykean is in course
of erection, in the ancient English style of architecture.
