BARBERSWELLS, a hamlet, in the parish of RuthVEN,
county of Forfar; containing 36 inhabitants. It
is situated on the borders of Airlie parish, a little to the
south of the road between Blairgowrie and Kirriemuir;
and the river Isla flows eastward of the hamlet.
