BENNETSTONE, a village, in the parish of Pol-
MONT, county of Stirling; containing 642 inhabitants.
It is situated a few miles east of Falkirk, and the population
consists chiefly of labourers and a few artisans. In
a schoolroom in the village, divine service is occasionally
performed by various ministers of dissenting congregations.
