BORLAND-PARK, a village, in the parish of Auchterarder, county of Perth, ^ a mile (N. W.) from Auchterarder; containing 141 inhabitants. This village was built by government, for the accommodation of the disbanded military, after the conclusion of the war, in 1763; but was soon deserted by the soldiers for whose residence it was originally designed. It is now inhabited chiefly by weavers, employed by the manufacturers of Glasgow.
