BURNBANKS, a village, in the parish of Nigg,
county of Kincardine; containing 60 inhabitants.
This is a small village, lying contiguous to two others,
on the eastern coast. It is occupied by fishermen, who
have two boats engaged in the white-fishery, and three
boats which proceed yearly to the herring-fishery on the
north coast.
