CORNCAIRN, a village and burgh of barony, in
the parish of Ordiquhill, county of Banff, 6 miles
(S.) from Portsoy; containing 9-4 inhabitants. This
place is situated in the neighbourhood of Cornhill, a
village on the road from Huntly to Banff, where several
annual fairs and cattle-markets are held, the latter well
known as the " Cornhill markets".
