CRAIGEND, a village, in the late quoad sacra parish of Crossbill, parish of Old-Monkland, Middle ward of the county Lanark, 4^ miles (E. S. E.) from Glasgow; containing 80 inhabitants. It is situated on the bank of the river Clyde, which here makes a considerable bend, and on the road from Glasgow to Bellshill in the parish of Bothwell.
