ELDRIG, a village, in the parish of Mochrum,
county of Wigtown, 3 miles (N. by W.) from Port-
Wiliiam; containing 217 inhabitants. It is situated in
the south-west part of the parish, and in the vicinity of
a stream which flows from Loch Eldrig into Luce bay.
