GREENHILL, a hamlet, in the parish of Lochmaben,
county of Dumfries, 2 miles (S. W. by W.) from
Lockerbie; containing 89 inhabitants. It is seated in
the eastern part of the parish, and on the west side of the
river Annan, which winds along the borders of Lochmaben,
and separates it from the parish of Dryfesdale.
