KINTESSACK, a village, in the parish of Dyke,
county of Elgin, 3 miles (W. by N.) from Forres; containing
122 inhabitants. It is a small village, lying
a short distance from the shore of the Moray Firth.
Until within these few years there was a good school
here, but it was given up for want of sufficient support;
there is, however, a small female school.
