LOANHEAD, a village, in the parish of Denny, county of Stirling, If mile (S. S. W.) from the village of Denny; containing 74 inhabitants. This village is situated iu the eastern portion of the parish, upon a stream that flows into the river Bonny. It is chiefly inhabited by persons employed in the collieries and in the various manufactories in the neighbourhood. There is a place of worship for members of the United Presbyterian Church; and a library, containing 500 volumes, is supported.
