POOL, a village, in the parish of Muckart, county
of Perth, '2^ miles (W.) from Crook of Devon; containing
1*9 inhabitants. It lies in about the centre of
the parish, on the road from Dollar to Fossoway, and is
the principal village: the population is almost entirely
agricultural. At a short distance from it stands the
parochial church.
