ROCKFIELD, a village, in the parish of Tarbat, county of Ross-and-Cromarty; containing 118 inhabitants. This village, which is situated on the western shore of the IMoray Firth, is inhabited chiefly by persons employed in the fisheries, for whose accommodation a small but substantial pier has been erected, at the joint expense of the Commissioners of the Northern Fisheries and the proprietor, Mr. McLeod of Geanies.
