SKEILAY, an isle, in the parish of Harris, county of InVERNeSS.
This is a small isle of the Hebrides, of somewhat
triangular shape, lying at the western entrance of
the sound of Harris, and about a mile and a half distant
northward from the island of Pabbay. On the west side
is the islet, of minute size, called Little Skeilay.
