TANNACHY-NEW, a village, in the parish of
Rathven, county of Banff, 3 miles (E.) from Garmouth;
containing 136 inhabitants. This is a fishingvillage,
close to Port-Gordon, on the southern shore of
the Moray Firth, and about two miles west-south-west
of Buckie. Port-Tannachy and Port-Gordon are separated
from each other by a very narrow stream.
